The Unique Story
Born on the Gold Coast in 1996, Unique was envisioned as a family-driven venture anchored in passion.
Built on the heritage of craftsmanship passed down through generations, Jim Taylor, inspired by his grandfather’s artisan spirit, led this vision. The torch of commitment and innovation passed from Jim to his sons, Jesse and Ty. Together, they advance the Unique legacy, ensuring each project resonates with the same dedication and craftsmanship instilled by Jim. Our Team
Since completing Engineering and Commerce at the University of Queensland, Jesse has been captivated by the innovation of Australian Design & Construction. Jesse loves bespoke homes, thoughtful design and the highest level of craftsmanship. He works closely with our clients to ensure every detail makes an impact.
After completing his Bachelor of Construction Management in 2013, Ty’s primary focus was building luxury residential properties that moved the needle. A number of his client builds and own developments have been featured in architectural magazine covers. His last project with his brother Jesse was one of the most shared homes in the state for 2022, and purchased by young Australian billionaire Adrian Portelli.
Creatively driven with an analytical side, Lizzie works to ensure your custom design combines unique style with conscious construction. A fully QBCC licensed Building Designer, she has an extensive career working for Gold Coast’s top design firms where she was consistently engaged in numerous award-winning projects. Lizzie also holds a Bachelor of Business with Distinction.
Richard, with a Diploma in Building & Construction and 25 years in the industry, excels in creating custom designed homes. His decade of focus on high-end residences has sharpened his skills in estimating and pricing luxury properties. His extensive experience with elite builders enhances his ability to deliver superior craftsmanship.
Leanne has over 30 years of experience in accounts, working across many industries.
Dr. Angela Bowles, with over 25 years of experience, specializes in marketing and consultancy, combining academic insights with practical strategies to elevate businesses in diverse sectors across Queensland, New South Wales, and London.
